Mr. Puryear is a Professor of Management at Baruch College of the City University of New York. During his 29-year tenure at Baruch, Mr. Puryear has served as College Dean, Chairman of the Department of Management, Co-Director of the Baruch College/Cornell University Master of Science in Industrial Relations Program, and Director of the Baruch College Small Business Lab.
Mr. Puryear is a member of the Board of Directors of Bank of Tokyo- Mitsubishi Trust Company, GreenPoint Financial Corporation, GreenPoint Bank, Interracial Council of Business Opportunity and the Presbyterian Church (USA) Investment and Loan Corporation. He previously served as director of several SBICs. He also has held several public sector positions, including deputy controller of the City of New York.
